  4.  SKINNY-DIPPING IN AUSTRALIA

  6.  One of the many attractions of Australia is its beaches.  This
  7. is a very important consideration for would-be immigrants
  8. looking to get away from it all.  With 20,000 kilometers of
  9. shore-line, and more than a dozen civilized beach resorts,
  10. there are more than enough opportunities for a new career as
  11. a beachcomber.  At some of the beaches, particularly at
  12. Granite Bay Beach on Noosa Head, it is possible to find more
  13. interesting things to watch than your everyday flotsam and
  14. jetsam.  Here and at Matlin Beach in Adelaide, and Swanbourne
  15. near Perth, skinny-dipping is the rule and voyeurism the
  16. pastime.  Of course, if you have moral objections to observing
  17. the unclad human body, you can go instead to Port Phillip and
  18. watch the fairy penguins.  (Admission is $1.50 for night shift.)
